Feghouli
was one of very few bright points yesterday. I think we should keep him

No real football brain.
Yes, sure, he scored one on Sunday - but his decision to shoot rather than pass on 2 further occasions costs us 2 of the easiest tap ins
Get rid. Next?

I have a good mate who's a Valencia supporter. Doesn't rate this player at all, he can turn it on on occasion but is the definition of inconsistent.

Let's face facts, the geezer's one step up from Faubert, and a small step at that...

Re: Feghouli
He started 11 games in a row it looks like from Jan onwards and had more then enough game time over the course of the season to show us what he's got

Re: Feghouli
3 goals and 3 assists in 1040 minutes of Premier League football (About 11-12 games roughly).

When you consider that he's had a very stop start season, no genuine run in the first team along with it being his first season in the PL I don't think that's an awful return.

Re: Feghouli
He had a run in the team around xmas

I agree with Mart....one good game in a dead rubber doesnt excuse the countless utter shit performances before it

Agreed, I don't think he's been half as bad as others have suggested. He needs a run in the team at some point though, sort of like Calleri has just been given. Might be possible if Antonio is not back in time for the start of the season as has been suggested.

Unless a big offer comes in (which I doubt) I'd like to see him get another opportunity next season.

Different circumstances. I've seen Feghouli play many times this season. I've barely seen Burnley play.

I don't think there's anything wrong with having an opinion based on one viewing - that's what a lot of scouting is. But that's not what's going on with Feghouli - he's had umpteen chances to impress, so one outlier doesn't change my opinion very much. If it was the only time I'd ever seen him I'd be very impressed.

Re: Feghouli
They are Burnley. He has done a great job with what he has.
And after 38 games playing against teams who are almost always more talented he quite rightly wasn't going to slate them for hitting the wall.

Though I am sure he will weep into his pillow tonight knowing Alex V has marked him down.

Re: Feghouli
Feghouli was good against Liverpool when he came on and good against Burnley.

He's had some flashes during the season but he's not really had a regular run in the team.

I'd keep him.

Alex,

You say that one performance should not change your opinion and then you say that your opinion on Dyche goes way down after this one performance?

Alex V 2:57 Mon May 22
Re: Feghouli
Agree strongly about Burnley. I thought their tactics were frankly inept. Dyche goes way down in my estimation after that.

he's had other good games as well

Re: Feghouli
So, hang on a minute, one good performance and he's excused for the other twenty odd showings of pure shite that he's managed this season.

And this against a team of whom their own manager said the week before, after their defeat vs Bournemouth: "that was a game too far for us".

Good away win, no doubt, but Burnley were fucked. Any idiot could see that they were running on empty in the 2nd half. Lanzini and Fernandes were half way up the pitch, miles from the defense. Any half decent team would have torn us a new one. It's a shit league and no mistake.

Re: Feghouli
A good performance in one game really should not make a difference. Yet I bet they do decide to keep him now.

Squad player. If we get good money, then sell. If not, he can fill blanks

Has taken his chance to show he can step up. The best player out there yesterday. Keep.

I think it's a case of if a good offer comes in for him they'll take it, if not will be happy to keep him.

Stubbo 12:54 Mon May 22
Re: Feghouli
The guy is definitely a keep.

Puts the best cross in of all the players in the squad, and is one of the guys who's actually had some end product (3 goals, 3 assists...1000 minutes played)...so scores or makes a goal every other game.

Not a world beater, but we have far less effective players in the squad than Sofiane. I suspect he might leave on account of being one of the few fringe players that will prove saleable.
